CLEAPSS: Prep room management and health and safety for senior technicians

This one-day discussion based course explores and shares ideas for good prep room management and will cover information on the regulations, prep room design, layout and equipment, organising practicals, policies and procedures, managing your time/team and organising resource.

By the end of the course participants will have examined their existing practice, be able to acknowledge their own good practice and, by discussing and sharing ideas, have information to improve other areas.

To aid discussion participants are asked to bring along:-

• Pictures* of their own prep room, to include examples of how the prep room is organised, good practice, novel ideas. E.g. inventive storage solutions and areas of concern.
• Examples of requisition forms.
• Pictures* of systems used to record/display overview of practical requests.

*Paper copies work best as these can be easily passed around the group.
