The half day (afternoon) comprises of light-touch theory and hands-on practical activities to engage EYFS pupils in scientific problem solving and developing strategies for questioning, as described in 4.5 Characteristics of effective learning.

Really good balance and knowledgeable trainer. Specific to EYFS learning and highlighted potential for simply including science in provision. Also how much we already do, particularly with questioning. Setting up a 'curiosity corner’ for the children that will encompass estimating and the activity cards. Also parent partnership ideas were great and feedback to science lead who is keen to make this a focus.
