Virtual Self Access Centre

The Virtual Self Access Centre (VSAC) brings together the best English Language study resources from around the internet, helping you find useful self-study materials so that you don't have to waste time searching. Areas covered include Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Business English and Exam Preparation. There are also interactive activities and a short writing course to help you improve your academic writing skills. New content is regularly added by staff at the ELTU.

The VSAC is available on Blackboard to all international students studying at the University of Leicester. To start using it, follow the VSAC Blackboard instructions

The Book Box

The ELTU Book Box has a range of study materials which you can borrow to help improve your English at home. Areas covered include grammar, vocabulary, writing, listening,  business English, exam preparation (including IELTS and Cambridge Exams) and reading for pleasure.

All ELTU students (presessional, insessional and Erasmus / Study Abroad) may use this service. The Book Box is staffed by a member of the ELTU who can help you find materials to practise and improve your English. It is located on the fourth floor of the Charles Wilson Building.
