On Tuesday 9 November 2021, the first in our series of free public talks, Difficult Conversations, took place. Our panel of experts – Professor Neil Chakraborti, Professor David Wilkin, Dr Amy Clarke, Isla Dixon (Hate Crime Officer for Leicestershire) and Chief Constable Simon Cole (Leicestershire Constabulary) – discussed what are hate crimes, and whom do they affect? What are their impacts? And in a world of escalating tensions and hostility how do we stop them from happening?
