Games can be approached in many ways, from a social perspective to a technical one, and contain many clues about our culture. You’ll start by analysing a range of concepts including ideology, ethics and inclusion, which will enable you to examine the social role of digital games in contemporary culture.

They also have a huge expressive potential to engage with art, ethics, political critique and education which you’ll come to investigate. Your research will enable you to articulate the meaningful and expressive significance of games while mobilising the interdisciplinary, theoretical concepts of game studies.
