You're coming to the end of your undergraduate study, and your dissertation offers you the opportunity to put all your learning into practice by undertaking a substantive piece of research on an issue of your choice.

You'll identify a valid research topic on a subject that interests you and access, retrieve and organise relevant research material. At the end of the module, you'll present a properly referenced, well-structured dissertation. Your critical perspective will be independent and fully-formed, and your argument will be sustained and coherent.

The ability to manage a substantial project, conduct research, critique well-established theories and sustain consistent arguments will be invaluable as you either begin your professional career or continue on to postgraduate study.
