Interpreting is a highly skilled profession, carried out in real-time, with no pauses available to research your subject matter or develop your knowledge on concepts and words. Here you will learn how to interpret both into and out of your target language, using a variety of different techniques as appropriate to the interpreting profession. We will reflect on these techniques critically and engage with the existing scholarship of the discipline to broaden our knowledge on the study of interpretation. This module will be taught in a combination of seminars and practical workshops – giving you ample opportunities to practice interpreting with digital facilities.
