This module serves as an introduction to pathophysiology, which is the study of the change of functions of body systems and tissues caused by disease or abnormalities.

You will learn about the development of the human body and many of the events and phenomena that affect tissues, organs and systems, including ageing, infection, immunity and inflammation. You will examine the structure, function and locations of the main body systems and connective, neural and muscle tissues. Plus, you will gain an understanding of the pathological changes and general principles of management within these body systems.
