Academic Values and Practices

Module code: EN7905

This module explores the institutions in which EAP takes place. You'll examine the wider context in which tertiary education institutions operate: norms, conventions and values in relation to tertiary education course delivery, assessment, ethical practices and academic conduct.

You'll be analysing a wide range of genres and types of texts existing in academic contexts and designing learning tasks to integrate them into lessons. You'll learn how to recognise and explore disciplinary differences, and how they influence the way knowledge is expanded and communicated.
