Leadership for Social Justice in Education (Lead Module)

This first module of the Educational Leadership pathway discusses images of schools and schooling, the construction of collaborative and inclusive cultures that engage the enthusiasm of learners and promote their learning and the development of staff, negotiative social interactions within learning communities and interactions with key stakeholders of educational institutions. We will conceptualise schools as learning communities. With more focus on collaboration between teachers; ideas and resources are being passed back and forth, leading to teachers working smarter. We will analyse the nature of collaborative cultures in particular socio-political contexts, and look at how particular cultures in schools help students engage with learning.
