Forensic and Legal Psychology

This multidisciplinary module investigates how psychological research and theory contributes to how crime is investigated and prosecuted. We will discuss how specific psychological theories outlining memory and decision making processes can explain miscarriages of justice, and how they may have led to improvements in the criminal justice system. This module aims to understand the effectiveness of the criminal justice processes by using psychological theory and practice.
