Software Engineering Project

Module code: CO2201 (double module)

The software industry does not have a strong track-record of successful software projects. In this module we will teach you to be part of the next generation of software engineers and project managers that will change this.

You will compare different approaches to managing projects, from the more traditional approaches still commonly used on large, government projects, to more Agile techniques that are becoming the norm for start-ups. As well as learning the skills to plan and execute a project, you will learn techniques to keep projects under control: Source Control and Configuration Management.

You will have the opportunity to apply these skills and others that you learn during your degree on a significant group project, which will be the most challenging and rewarding project that most students complete during their degree.
