Medical device licenses

Our technologies are available for licensing to innovative organisations seeking to develop their current activities or diversify their operations. We have many licenses available at any time, here is a sample of some of our most exciting innovations.

Our licenses cover the spectrum of medical devices, so please contact us to find out about other opportunities or to find out more about how these technologies could help your organisation.

Cadatheter and the near virtual autopsy

There is a global demand from the medical profession, as well as religious and social groups, to reduce the number of autopsies performed. Post mortem computed tomography researchers are increasingly using clinical imaging to move towards the ‘near virtual’ autopsy. Practitioners currently use standard catheters for cadaveric angiography, which often give less than optimal results. Our bespoke catheter delivers contrast with the high degree of precision required for visualisation of the coronary vessels.

Universal tissue sampling device

During the collection and storage of DNA samples there is considerable potential for DNA degradation. We have developed an integrated soft-tissue sample collection and preservation device that quickly and effectively collects soft tissue samples from any human, animal or plant material before DNA degradation begins. Our device is particularly useful for forensic analysis of DNA samples from military settings and incidents involving mass fatalities.

Improving risk assessment of sudden cardiac death

Our innovative device creates an electrical map of the heart using ECG and uses complex digital signal processing and pattern recognition analysis to extract and interpret the data. The technology is able to pick out electrophysiological defects in the heart that can cause Sudden Cardiac Death.
