Bob Bearne

Bob Bearne is Head of the Probation Service for Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland, having been a Senior Manager in the Probation Service since 2012.

Bob joined the Service as a Probation residential worker in 1985, and qualified as a Probation Officer in 1989 after completing his CQSW and MA in Social Work at the University of Leicester. He also has a BSc(Econ) in International Politics from University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Service Management from University of Birmingham. Bob has a particular interest in the training and education of Trainee Probation Officers, and has also worked as a part time tutor, and occasional lecturer for De Montfort University, Leicester, on the Probation Officer Training Graduate Course.
