Medical Schools UK Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Network Online Meeting 2022
The fourth meeting of the network was hosted as a free, interactive online session by the University of Leicester on Wednesday 12 October 2022. The meeting was aimed at EDI leads.
The first Medical Schools EDI Leads meeting was held in Newcastle in October 2018, to establish a UK network to share good practices around equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and develop joint working around key challenges. Since then, representatives from across the United Kingdom have joined together to discuss topics such as gender equality and the Athena Swan Charter, intersectionality, mentoring, LGBTQ+ allyship, bullying and racism, and the impacts of COVID-19 on medical school teaching.

We were delighted to invite Professor Nisreen Alwan, MBE, as the keynote speaker for this meeting.
