Employment Relations in a Global Context

This module will explain and discuss key concepts in contemporary employment relations (ER) in a global context from a comparative perspective. You will be introduced to and assess the types, forms and roles of ER institutions at the organisational, national, supra-national and global levels with the aim to understand and apply theoretical knowledge of ER to analysing specific practices and events through a comparative, international perspective. You will be able to critically evaluate the trends, developments and prospects for relations between trade unions, management and governments at the national, supra-national and global levels.
