To share their concepts and ideas to speakers of other languages, businesses and individuals from many different industries require translators. Translators can come across highly specialised texts that need to be translated appropriately and professionally. With a combination of seminars and workshops, you will practice your skills in translating texts from specialised areas, using suitable strategies to solve translation issues and fulfil the purpose of translation. In this module, you will be given ample opportunities to practice translation, and you will also critically reflect on, and engage with various works on translation in a specialised field.
