Writing Prose Fiction

Module code: EN3174

This module offers a practical introduction to writing prose fiction, with a particular (though not an exclusive) focus on the short story. The module consists of 10 x 2 hour weekly workshops, the majority of which will consist of creative exercises, group discussion of set topics and key readings, and, workshop critiquing of each other’s work. You will be expected to produce creative work for submission throughout the semester. This is a practical workshop and most of our discussions will have, as their base, students' own work. It is a group learning environment.
