School Partnerships
The University of Leicester collaborates closely with the teaching profession and schools through a number of highly-regarded and well-established Partnerships. These Partnerships are geographically located around the Leicester area, but we do also have a strong national and international presence though our extended research networks and distance learning programmes for the teaching profession.

Our Primary and Secondary PGCE courses currently work in partnership with over 260 schools across the East Midlands, and we welcome new schools wishing to join our network of Partner schools.

High quality
The latest Ofsted Inspection Report (November 2015) found our Primary course to be 'Outstanding' and Secondary 'Good' with many strengths. Inspectors particularly praised our leaders' "strong commitment to securing a highly-skilled and professional workforce" and how the PGCE partnership "is very responsive to the views of trainees." In recognition of our partnership strengths, we are working with an increasing number of schools through the Lead Partners initiative.
