This modules examines painting, sculpture and architecture in Italy during the 16th and 17th centuries. You will study the work of the most prominent artists of the Italian Renaissance and the Baroque, as well as selected less-known artists and other primary source from the period. As well as helping you to develop a critical awareness of this key period in the history of art and its influence on subsequent practices and approaches, the module will provide an invaluable preparation for single subject students taking HA2307- the Italy Study Trip.
