Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) for a new air pollution mapping service

Principal Investigator - John Gulliver

A new air pollution mapping service will combine computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with Land Use Regression (LUR) modelling techniques.

This Innovate UK-funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) involves working with the Leicester SME Earthsense to develop pollution modelling and mapping. Earthsense are an air quality modelling specialist who also make and develop air quality sensors used by 60 councils including our local Leicester City Council. The KTP is initially developing the science related to outdoor air modelling, but the work will inform on availability and handling of digital data to improve environmental modelling more generally.
