Making the Web

For this module you'll build a simple website to get to grips with how the web communicates information, and how our lives and society interconnect with the web and its development. You'll be discussing how the technologies of the web have been shaped by social, cultural, and economic factors and consider how these factors will shape your own website.

Assessing the technologies that shape the communicative affordances of the web will be central to the module, and you'll demonstrate appreciation of the social, cultural, and economic significance of those affordances through exploration of an area of interest. You'll use the affordances of the web to communicate information, and present this through your own website.
