National Film and Film Cultures 1 and 2

These two modules examine particular national cinemas and national film cultures, as well as the relationship between the national and the transnational. Each module will focus on a specific national cinema or filmmaking region, such as Chinese cinema, Italian cinema, Mexican cinema or Latin American cinema. The modules will examine the complex relationship between films and the societies and cultures in which they have been produced and consumed.
