Conceptual Art and its Aftermath in Britain

Module Overview
This module focuses on art produced in Britain during the last decade, with particular reference to the developments in conceptual art from the 1960s onwards. Students will consider key works of conceptual art within their aesthetic, theoretical context, and within the context of commercial patronage and the contemporary art market. Issues of display will also be analysed. Students will develop a range of transferable skills through seminar discussions, peer group presentations, assessed coursework and site visits.
