For your dissertation you will undertake research into a subject of your own choice, related to aspects of the course your are studying. This will give you the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge and research skills which you have gained on your degree. Many of our students take this opportunity to undertake research within their workplace, or to gain expertise in an area that they would like to move into. Recent student dissertations have been based on topics including: fear of crime, the effect of shadow charging, the impact of community policing, and anti-social behaviour.
