Preparation Materials for Appointments

The Career Development Service has developed a unique student focused system designed to maximise the benefits that you receive from each appointment. Before attending your appointment, you are encouraged to undertake some preparation so our advisers can tailor their advice more closely to your needs. These materials are designed to help you start thinking about the issues you have identified, and shouldn’t take too long to complete.

You only need to bring along the preparation document(s) for the type of appointment you have selected, however please do feel free to explore them all.

Career Development Service cancellation policy

Please refer to the CDS Policy for Missed Events, Appointments, and Internship Interviews and Cancellation procedure. If you miss three appointments and/or sessions without cancelling then you may be excluded from making any further appointments and/or sessions with us. At this stage you will be required to write to the Director of the Career Development Service explaining why you have missed these without cancelling.

If you are running late for an appointment: Please notify us as soon as possible by calling 0116 252 2448. If you are more than five minutes late we may not be able to see you and will request that you re-book for another appointment.
