Accessing your information

Your right of access  - Article 15 General Data Protection Regulation.

You can exercise this right under a Subject Access Request (SAR). This will allow you to know what information the University holds about you.

The purpose of this right is to give individuals the opportunity to verify what information the university holds about them, and confirm whether the processing of the personal data is correct and lawful.

You may make a subject access request before exercising your other information rights under GDPR, although is not essential.

Making a request to access personal information under article 15 of General Data Protection Regulation is free of charge. However, please be aware the University will have discretion to decide whether to charge an individual when the request is repeated or unreasonable.

Please refer to our Subject Access Request procedure to find out more.
