Biography

Head of the Human Resources Division, Emma Stevens is the Director of Human Resources and plays a key role in the leadership and delivery of the 5 year People Strategy. Emma is a member of the Professional Services Executive Group, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and attends the University Executive Board on a regular basis. Emma is responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources function which includes the HR Generalist team, Recruitment, Business Support, Organisational Development, Staff Health and Wellbeing, Occupational Health, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Emma has been with the University since October 2015, initially as Deputy Director of Human Resources and was appointed as Director of Human Resources in April 2020. Emma reports to Kerry Law, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Professional Services). Prior to joining the University of Leicester, Emma worked within the NHS in a number of roles including at Director level.
