VC welcomes back students with video poem
Over the next couple of weeks, students will be arriving back in Leicester to continue their academic studies and enjoy some of the best years of their lives.
To welcome them back, the University's Division of External Relations has produced a quirky video poem featuring our President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Boyle.

The film shows Professor Boyle in a variety of locations on the University’s vibrant campus explaining some of the changes that have taken place over the summer in order to further enhance their university experience.
Some of those improvements include:
- Creating 80 additional study spaces in the award-winning David Wilson Library
- New mobile-friendly library catalogue search
- Permanent Chinese food outlet in the Students’ Union
- Introduction of Flourish Fair – a two-day event to support returning students’ transition into the next year of study
- University ID card can now be used to purchase food and other items on campus
