Course description
In today's fast-moving and digitally connected world, successful marketers need far more than creativity alone. They must understand consumer behaviour, interpret data, build meaningful brand experiences, and develop strategies that respond to rapidly changing global markets. Our MSc Strategic Marketing is designed to help you develop these highly sought-after skills and prepare for an exciting career in modern marketing.
You will explore the latest developments in marketing management, consumer insight, branding, digital communications, innovation, and business intelligence. You will examine how organisations create value through strategic marketing planning, data-driven decision-making, and consumer-focused strategies, while also considering contemporary challenges such as sustainability, ethical consumption, digital audiences, and the attention economy.
The modules combine academic knowledge with practical application, enabling you to develop valuable transferable skills in market research, strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication and analytical decision-making. You will learn how to evaluate consumer trends, design effective marketing campaigns, and apply marketing frameworks to support business growth and innovation in competitive international markets. In other words, you will develop the ability to deliver the right message, to the right audience, through the right channels, at the the right time, in order to achieve meaningful and measurable marketing outcomes.
Your teaching is highly interactive, using a wide range of real-world examples and case studies to bring theories to life. With multiple intakes throughout the year, you will benefit from studying modules with students from different cohorts of the programme, allowing you to benefit from learning with an established learning community and growing your marketing network.
You will have the opportunity to tailor your studies through a dissertation, an AI Agent Solutions in Business Project, or a Placement in Business, enabling you to gain research, industry or practical experience aligned with your career goals.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the leading professional body for professional marketers worldwide.
