Welcome to the Wellbeing and Liberation Officers

This event will provide a brief introduction to what support is available and what liberation means as well as who are the Student Leaders lobbying and campaigning for adequate support that answers students' needs. Karli and Tony will walk you through their experiences, their role and what they do to represent and support you and how the SU staff can facilitate that work.

Welcome from the Activities and the Sports Officers

This event will provide a brief introduction to what Activities and Societies do, as well as what Sports and clubs are available and the positive impact they have on students' success, and will get you acquainted with the Student Leaders that are work to ensure you have access to these facilities. Elle and Hannah will walk you through their experiences, their role and what they do to represent and support you and how the SU staff can facilitate that work.

Feel free to dress in your traditional attire and perhaps prepare yourself a meal typical of your culture to enjoy during the event. It's all about celebrating and learning about different cultures.

Black History Month Launch

Tony, our Liberation Officer, will officially launch the start of Black History Month. This year, the Union and University are taking a collaborative approach to bring a year along campaign to celebrate Black History. This year, we will be looking at it from a different lens, looking at our past, our present and our future.

Try it! Fundraising is a great way to give back to the community and to causes which are close to you. Give it a go before deciding which student group is for you.

Give it a Go: Welcome Session

6.30pm – 8.00pm (Online)

This 'give it a go' session will act as a welcome event for our society, where you can meet the committee and get to know other potential society members. The session will also involve free snacks and drinks, and after a Q&A session, which will hopefully answer all your questions on the society and our plans for the year, we will run a fun quiz where there will be prizes up for grabs.
