Minor in French Language

If you choose a Minor in French Language you will study French language to the level of proficiency required to use the language professionally.

Entry requirements

You will take the Advanced modules if you have at least grade B in A-level French, and the Beginners modules if you don't.


In language work you will be assessed by a variety of means, including spoken and listening tests, reading and writing exercises. There will be a balance of continuous assessment and end of semester assignments or examinations.

Now choose your Major

On a Major/Minor degree you study a core area in depth (your major subject), while also exploring an additional area (in this case French Language).
