Applying through UCAS Extra

You can apply for up to five courses through UCAS. If none of those applications result in an offer (or an offer you want to accept) you don’t have to wait for Clearing. You can use UCAS Extra to make a free sixth application.

UCAS Extra is available from February to July each year. If you are eligible, Extra will appear when you login to UCAS Track.

Applying to Leicester through UCAS Extra is simple:

  1. Take a look at the range of courses available at the University of Leicester and find the one that’s right for you.
  2. Contact us on to check you meet the entry requirements.
  3. Add the course details in UCAS Track.

Once you have done this, we will consider your application. If you receive an offer – congratulations! The process is exactly the same as for any other university offer, so respond through UCAS Track and we’ll proceed from there.

If we don’t make you an offer, you can apply for another University of Leicester course. UCAS Extra lets you apply (for free) for as many courses as you want, but only one at a time. Please note: under UCAS rules, any offer not accepted by 18 July will be automatically withdrawn and you will be entered into Clearing.

Already got your grades?

You can apply to us directly rather than going through UCAS.
