Midlands Teacher and Advisor conference

MSC Teacher and Advisor Conferences are a Medical Schools Council initiative in partnership with medical schools across England. This initiative is funded by Health Education England and has enabled the University of Leicester’s Schools of Medicine & Healthcare to come together to put together an exciting programme of talks and workshops to ensure you are best able to support aspiring medics and healthcare professionals in your school or college.

Representatives will be available from University of Leicester as well as Keele University and the University of Birmingham.

Supporting students who are interested in a career in medicine

This talk will explore what students need to apply for medicine courses at university so you can best support your students and advise them on their options. (Dr Margaret Barnes Davies, University of Leicester)

Introduction to Healthcare – not merely a Medicine alternative

This talk will explore the vast range of healthcare courses students have to choose from and the importance of inter-professional learning and working with medicine. (Professor Jayne Marshall, Deputy Head of School of Healthcare)
