Overview

The College of Life Sciences (CLS) and Health Data Research (HDR) UK are offering two three-year PhD Studentships that will start in September 2019. HDR is the national institute for health data science. Their vision is that 'every health and care interaction and research endeavour will be enhanced by access to large scale data and advanced analytics'.

The CLS is advertising a variety of HDR projects, of which two will be funded.

These studentships will provide a tax-free stipend at RCUK rates (£15,009 for 2019/20) and UK/EU fees for three years.

Entry requirements

  • Applicants are required to hold/or expect to obtain a data-science-related UK Bachelor's degree (e.g. Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics) at 2:1 or better, and preferably also a similar MSc qualification.
  • University of Leicester English language requirements apply.
