Students' Union

In the centre of campus - figuratively and literally - is the University of Leicester Students' Union, also known as the Percy Gee Building.

This is the social hub of the university, providing space to meet, eat and relax, and hosting the UK's only on-campus O2 Academy for great nights out.

The 'SU' is also home to more than 200 students clubs and societies covering sports, performance, media, cultures and faiths, politics and campaigning - plus societies for every academic subject.

Discover our Students' Union, committed to the provision of a broad range of services and support - right at the heart of campus.

The SU is not part of the University: it's a fully-independent organisation which represents the student body, ensuring that students' views and voices are always heard in the way that the University is run.

There are opportunities to become directly involved, as a course rep, or a member of the Union Council, or by contributing to meetings and debates on important topics.

The SU can also provide free and impartial advice and support on housing, money, safety and education, as well as academic issues. From 8.00pm to 8.00am every night during term, the SU staffs Nightline, a student-run listening, support and information service - so you're never alone.

Support

From the Advice Service to Peer Mentoring and more, the SU offers you a range of ways to access support.
