UCAS Visit Day - 18 March 2017
Please arrive and register in the 'Union Square' in the Students’ Union Percy Gee Building. If you arrive after the Registration period, please make your way in the first instance to the 'Union Square' in the Students’ Union Percy Gee Building.
10.00am Campus Tour OR Tour of City Living accommodation
You will be given the choice of either a tour of the main campus or a walking tour to see the City Living student accommodation. Both tours are given by our Student Ambassadors.
10.45am Taster Lecture
Dr Andrew Johnstone: 'Should America Go to War? The Debate over American entry into World War II.' in Attenborough Building Lecture Theatre 1
11.15am Subject Talk – Attenborough Building Lecture Theatre 3
This session will include a presentation on American Studies at Leicester and an opportunity to find out about the various modules and special subjects options on offer throughout the course of your studies, as well as our Study Abroad options.
12.00pm Tea and Coffee
An opportunity to chat with staff from American Studies as well as current students in Attenborough Room 002.
12.30pm Lunch and Information Fair
A buffet lunch will be provided and you can also visit the Information Fair. This will be another opportunity to meet current students and staff, ask questions and find out more about the course and studying/living in Leicester.
1.15pm Visit to Oadby Student Village accommodation
This visit will take you to the main Halls of Residence at the Oadby Student Village, a 15-minute bus ride from the main campus, and you will be able to view the social facilities and a typical student room. There is also a drop-in talk on student life taking place which you may wish to attend. The trip lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
2.45pm Plenary 'Thank you for visiting' session
This will include a short presentation about the University of Leicester and give staff the opportunity to thank you for visiting.
3.00pm Coaches back to campus.
3.30pm End of visit
