While our regular Open Days are aimed at students wanting to study for an undergraduate degree, we recognise that postgraduate applicants also want to find out about the University of Leicester, our courses and our facilities. To this end we organise an annual Postgraduate Information Fair on our campus. This year's event will be on Wednesday 30 November, 2.30pm-6.00pm.
At the Postgraduate Information Fair you will have the chance to:
- Speak to academics from the subject(s) that interest you
- Hear from our current postgraduates
- Look around our campus and library
- Find out more about postgraduate life at Leicester
- Learn more about financing your studies
A full programme (PDF) for the 2015 event is available to give you a flavour of the day. The 2016 programme will be available shortly. The programme will also be sent to all registered attendees beforehand.
If you can't make it to the Postgraduate Information Fair you can always contact any academic department directly to find out more about courses and facilities.
Travelling to the University
The University's central location within the city of Leicester means that parking around the campus is very limited and wherever possible, we would encourage you to use public transport. Leicester is well served by both trains and buses. The campus is within walking distance of the railway station.
If you are coming by car please note that there is no visitor parking on the main University campus on University Road before 5.00pm. There are several pay-and-display car parks near to campus, of which the nearest is Freeman's Common on Welford Road (postcode LE2 6BF).
Online and Virtual Open Events
If you are thinking of studying for a degree by distance learning, or you cannot make one of the on-campus events, you can still have your questions answered and find out about the University of Leicester through one of our Online Events. When we have dates for our next Online Events, we will post them here.
