Transcultural and Transnational Creative Practices

In this module you will study the contradictions inherent to the creative industries from a transcultural and transnational perspective. We will examine the role of creative practices, forms of self-presentation, styles, genres and audience concepts across different media, institutions and cultures. You will study the history and definitions of the creative industries and the issues that the sector is facing, such as clustering of creative practices, the role of technology and aesthetics, labour and diversity and cultural policies.
