The Law of Armed Conflict

The module examines international law and the regulation of armed conflict. The module will consider principles of jus ad bellum (right to war), jus in bello (right conduct in war) and jus post bellum (right conduct after war), and explore current developments and contemporary issues. The aim of the module is to provide students with an understanding both of the rules and the challenge of applying and enforcing international law in the midst of armed conflicts.
