Issues and Procedures in European Union Competition Law

Module Aims

This module follows on from Principles of EU Competition Law in semester one. It examines merger control and the enforcement of competition law by public agencies and private litigants.  Depending on student interest and the topicality of the issues, two other areas are studied. In recent years this has included: competition law and state action, state aids and the financial crisis, intellectual property and competition law and the application of competition law in the energy sector.

Assessment Methods

Research paper not exceeding 5,000 words including footnotes.
