Stable Isotopes in the Environment

Module code: GY3434

At this stage of your degree it is very likely you will have come across stable isotopes, probably when studying Quaternary climates. This module offers you the opportunity to study stable isotopes exclusively. We start by covering all you need to know about what they are and how to describe and explain how they behave in the natural environment. The course then explores how isotopes are used in hydrological, botanic, atmospheric and food web studies.
