Neotropical Rainforests

The Amazonian Tropical Rainforest is regarded as the lung of the planet and has the Earth’s highest biodiversity. The module introduces some fundamental concepts of tropical ecology, ecological processes and biogeochemical cycles. You will also study soils and vegetation in traditional agricultural plots. The module offers an opportunity to visit Colombia, South America, the Amazon Rainforest and high Andean ecosystems.
