This module provides a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of perception, symbolisation, and cartography. The module will convey basic knowledge of the design practices and tools that can be used to create effective visualisation, as well as the creation and analysis of maps using geographic information systems tools. The module will introduce you to various design principles and provide the necessary skills to create effective and novel visualisations of diverse data types.
