Geographical Research Design (Physical Geography Overseas Field Course)

This module, which focuses on research design, will help you develop a topic and formal proposal for your undergraduate dissertation. It is taught through a combination of lectures and the Almeria field class. During the field class, you'll be introduced to the physical geography of the Almeria region and develop your own individual field-based research project. The emphasis is on designing robust research projects based on careful observations and the development of meaningful questions and hypotheses about the landscape and environment of the Almeria region.

Assessment

The module will lead to the submission of a full dissertation research proposal that will be the basis of your dissertation research. A dissertation advisor will be available to discuss your research plans. The research proposal is a qualifying element of this module and a minimum mark of 40% is required to pass.
