Plant Identification Skills

Module code: BS3019

Through a combination of lectures and laboratory classes, this module will cover how to identify a range of flowering plant families and species, recognised in the context of our current understanding of their evolutionary relationships. The module builds on the experience gained in the second-year Field Biology module, which is a recommended but not obligatory pre-cursor. You should take notice of the unusual timetabling: one 3-hour evening session per week, plus a total of 3 Saturdays.
