Module code: AR2550

Module co-ordinator: Dr Alice Samson and Dr Richard Thomas

This module consists of at least one week’s practical work on a current research project, plus linked readings and assessment. The School currently runs two research field projects at Bradgate Park (Leicestershire) and Ardnamurchan (western Scotland), but we are also happy to accept fieldwork experience from elsewhere for credits, as long as we have given prior approval. The fieldwork week usually includes not only supervised experience in a number of aspects of survey and/or excavations, but also seminars and introductions to the particular project’s research aims. We also set formal assessment for this module, whether students attend our fieldschool or approved fieldschools elsewhere.
