Becoming a Professional

Module code: AE2113

Module co-ordinator: Mary Graham

In this module we will consider how and why counselling works and discuss the importance of acting ethically and within a legal and agency framework. You will learn how to support your clinical judgements with reference to theoretical understanding and research findings, clearly identifying areas of work in which you are trained and competent and also those areas outside your current limits. We will also explore the need for consistent and open use of supervision and CPD.
