Forensic Psychology in the Courtroom

The aims of this module are to familiarise student with an understanding of psychology in the court room and the conflicts between psychology and the law. Students will be introduced to wide range of topics relating to criminal justice process in court - including but not limited to vulnerable witnesses, false confessions, expert evidence and defences. The module will provide opportunities for critical consideration of the theoretical basis and contemporary debates in the field.
