This module examines and explores the popular medium of television from different critical perspectives, incorporating analysis of television content, forms, formats and viewer practices. This module encourages you to pay attention to and reflect on your own television viewing (from documentaries to drama to reality TV to sitcoms and beyond) and to understand and examine how this can be understood in relation to ‘television studies’ and academic analysis of such a popular medium.
